You really never know what schools are going to want in a given year. Don't make assumptions about SAT scores and stuff, but a 2000 seems a little bit low for MIT and UPenn. Still, don't count yourself out because you've got some great extracurriculars and coming from a private school in Canada definitely can't hurt.

can someone who is really good at badminton be really good at tennis?


Hi I'm 19 and i'm hopefully planning to join a tennis sports club, last year I've been getting good reviews from my PE teacher when we used to play badminton at school I've always dreamed of playing tennis but sometimes when i think of it I think its way harder than badminton ... I dream of being a tennis champion is it too late to start?

I think that a lot of the people who have answered thus far haven't really seen a professional badminton match. Badminton is the fastest racket sport - shuttles can go faster than 200 mph, which is much faster than even the fastest tennis serves. There's no doubt that tennis players have to run more miles than badminton players, but by virtue of the small courts, badminton is a very fast-paced game and requires rapid direction changes.

After coming from badminton, you definitely will have some fitness, and hand-eye coordination advantage. However, badminton is mostly played with the wrist, while tennis is played mainly with the legs and core. It probably isn't advisable to play both at the same time, since you can really hurt your wrist if you use it like you would in badminton.

You should probably start with some tennis classes to judge if you like it. Some badminton players don't like tennis because it's not as fast-paced.

recommendations for movies and series?


i have one whole summer with completely and absolutely nothing to do, save for review to get into some super lame science high school (although 'm actually planning to go to an all-girls' school with a tennis court), voice and instrument lessons, possibly stalking my crush in a beach, and badminton or some lame sport. :P

so... what cool movies and series would you recommend? i really need something to do. i love comedy, horror and romance. also musicals. i also love make-over and fashion series like queer eye.
