badminton rules doubles
Badminton Rules debate?
Me and my mates have started playing badminton. I say the service court for doubles is the same as singles. They say its different, they say its the outside lines in doubles from the service. Also, if the shuttle cock hits the net and goes over on the service is it a fault?

badminton doubles rules

Badminton Rules? Please?
I have an exam review for P.E. and I can't figure out these two qustions.
"Draw 2 badminton courts and shade in the serving areas for doubles on the first and singles on the second."
"What are the two playing options for doubles?"
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, here is a link to some information about badminton. It shows a drawing of the court with notes. The front service line is the same for each singles or doubles, that is the shuttle must reach at least the front service line to be valid.
Essentially, for doubles, the service court is wide, but shorter - not to the back of the court.
For singles, the service court is not as wide, but longer - to the back of the court. See how the rectangular shape is different.
Playing options for doubles, can be front and back (generally used for mixed doubles, or for uneven strength players) and side by side (generally for mens, ladies doubles or mixed players of similar strength).
