badminton scoring doubles Does anyone have any information on badminton scoring?
I need to know what the scoring is in badminton, and whether it's different for a doubles match to a singles match and for ladies and men? I know it's best of 3 sets up to 21 points, but is this for everyone all the time?
The scoring is the same for a singles, doubles, and ladies matches.
Me and my mates have started playing badminton. I say the service court for doubles is the same as singles. They say its different, they say its the outside lines in doubles from the service. Also, if the shuttle cock hits the net and goes over on the service is it a fault?
The service court is the same for singles and doubles. If the shuttle-thing hits the net on service it is a fault.

badminton doubles What is the best tension for a badminton racket?
I am an intermediate player with a yonex muscle power 99 and i was just wondering what would be the best tension. I primarily play doubles but i also play singles.
Thanks!
String tension is usually up to personal preference. It's not that clear how lower/higher tensions affect play since not much study has gone into that area. I find that the higher tension you use, the better your technique needs to be.
Basically, the better you are, the higher tension you go.

In doubles, what is "in" and what is "out" during service in badminton?
I keep on finding various variations about what is "in" during service. For doubles I have been told that the backline and tramlines are out during service, however, after that the entire court is in. Could anyone please clarify?
No its for singles the court is long and skinny (so back line is in but tramlines are out) and for doubles the court is short and fat (so tramlines are in and backlines are out).
Unless its the other way round, but I'm fairly sure I'm right.
