badminton shuttlecock yonex Whats A Good Yonex Badminton Racket?.........20 points best answer?
Hi, im 14 years old and i play badminton quite a lot, at the moment i'm using a random heavy Slazenger badminton racket which i don't really like much and I have been using it for quite some time now. I would like you fellow yahooers to recommend a light racket but also a racket that is very good for smashes, but sometimes i like to play tricky shots when you tap it and the shuttlecock just falls over the net. Ive been doing quite a lot of research and i heard that the 'muscle power 630' is a good racket for this and also the 'armortech 900', i also heard that the 'muscle power 22' is good. But my price range is £50-65 at the highest, as i've been saving up for a while.
Also when you state the racket, can you also tell me the recommended string tension and the link if you have one.
Thanks Liam
From your description, I recommend either the Arcsaber or Nanospeed series from Yonex. The Armortec series tend to be more head-heavy and offer more power, but less control and defense. The Nanospeed is the opposite, being head-light and offering more control and easier defense, although it tends to give up in terms of power. The Arcsaber is a balance between the two, offering good control / defense and offense.
However, due to your price range, the Arcsaber series is out since the lowest one is about $170 U.S. (which should be about 113 euros). Therefore, I suggest the Nanospeed series; you can probably get the lower-end tier of the Nanospeed series; price goes up with number, but so does quality of the racket.
As for string tension, I recommend that you go up as high as you think your skill level allows. 24 ibs is pretty advanced already with 21 ibs being the standard. The pros go up to usually over 30 ibs.
