SF Bay Area student needing college advice!?
I live in the SF Bay Area (San Bruno) and can only go to a local college/university. I'm a senior now and I will need to attend a college where I can stay at home.
Here are my "stats:"
3.1 weighted GPA
4 honors courses-eng, hist, french, art
president of Leo Club (community service)
piano student for 5 years on and off, received certificate of merit award level 1
badminton player for 1 year
1530 SAT Reasoning Test (first time, signed up for October 4th test)
Signing up for the November SAT Subject test
What colleges should I apply to? I know I'll apply to SFSU, Skyline, but I'm not too sure about the private colleges (USF, SCU). And the UC's, should I even try? My grades are lower than those who are accepted. If I could go away for college I'd apply to Davis, Berkeley (!), Santa Cruz, Merced.
Let me know what you think. I want to know real people's advice, in addition to my high school counselors and family/friends.

You should'nt limit it. Spread it out amonst public and private university, including stretch schools to fall-back schools.
So perhaps in this case...
SFSU, USF, and a couple UCals. Just decide which campuses you feel more comfortably attending.
I would definitely weigh you high school counselor's advice to. You're not only competing against seniors at other high schools, but also your own classmates. So if you can find out where comparable classmates are being accepted or applying, that will help.

I wanna open a Badminton Club, what name is appropriate?
Hi. I'm 50 years old and i love badminton as a sport. I played it during the great depression time. I rather starve and try to save money to buy those shuttle cocks. Badminton has served me well. I think it is time for me to give back to badminton. I'm living in the bay are right now and i'm wondering what is a good name to give to my club that i will be opening soon. Should i name it "Angela is Gay and mean Badminton Club"?
