baminton Which is a more difficult sport to learn? Badminton or volleyball? Please post why. Thanks! ?
My friends that play volleyball argue that vball is more difficult for an average Joe to pick up. However, I argue the opposite based on the fact that a baminton player has to learn how to use the racquet as an extension of their hand (thus making badminton harder and a more awkward sport to learn). Serious replies only please.
This may be a long answer, but please take your time to read it. These are my experience from being a former member of the Beijing Badminton Team.
In my opinion, badminton is definitely a easier sport to learn, but take my heed that in order to improve and really be good at badminton. It does take determination and hard-work. The footwork and the striking motion of badminton is simply more perplex than volleyball because you have to be "mechanic" to the motions in order to execute them with efficiency. THough, volleyball is hard, but in my humble opinion, I believe that badminton is a more strenuous to get really good at due to its sophisticated system of movements and the fast tempo of only yourself taking responsibility of the whole court.
Anyways, my opinion may be biased because I was a player of the Beijing team, but good luck on either sports If you are just wanting to be a mediocre player of these two sports, I suggest you try volleyball. Though, if you seek for a challenge and want to be much better than everyone else of the sport, I suggest badminton to you!
