National Theatre Wales’s first musical, The Village Social, is a dark-comic cocktail of the Bacchae and the Vicar of Dibley. Elisabeth Mahoney joins its rural tour Given the buzz about him at Edinburgh, where his Welsh language play Llwyth (Tribe) was widely regarded as a festival highlight and evidence of a resurgent theatre scene in Wales, the last place you’d expect to find Dafydd James is playing the triangle on stage in the parish hall of a blink-and-miss-it village near Caerphilly. The 32-year-old writer, composer and performer plays keyboards and the trombone, too, in The Village Social, a new musical he’s written for National Theatre Wales with his long-standing collaborator Ben Lewis, who directs. The show, which opened in Rudry on 21 October and will tour 16 village halls across the Welsh countryside, is loosely based on Euripides’ The Bacchae, and described by the pair as "somewhere between The Vicar of Dibley and The Wicker Man". We know at most 60 ladies COULD have all four. But if many with umbrellas did not have black shoes, then 60-(100-75)=35 have to overlap to have both. Now if many with white handbags do not have both umbrellaa and black shoes there would be 35-(100-85)=20 that have to have all three. Likewise wearing a ring: 20-(100-90)=10.

As many as 60, but as few as 10.

From the 4/28/06 Ridgewood News editorial: “A posting made yesterday morning claimed that access to the blog from Village Hall had been blocked; if this is true . . . ” “If?” Duh? Why didn't the editor have one of her staff telephone the Village Manager or Village Hall IT Director to verify or deny the claim instead of insinuating the information might be bogus? That's the Ridgewood News' biggest failure; no effort is made to follow up on leads. Blocking the Ridgewood Blog from Village Hall computers is a huge story. Has there been any other non-pornographic oriented web site blocked at Village Hall on orders from the Village Manager? Instead of putting this breaking story on the front page where it belongs, the Ridgewood News’ editor relegated it a line item mention in her contentious editorial. What a way to run a newspaper!

Inside the gathering hall your complete quests to get a better hunter rank and the higher the hunter rank you are the more quests you get.

The quests from the village elder are just to get you started in the game but you get rewards on your guild card from completing them.

The quests are easier from the village elder so I suggest you start with them, and the quests from the guild are harder.

Also if you have a mate with the game you can link up and complete the gathering hall quests together unlike the elder quests where you are totally alone.

Basically you should start by completing the quests from the village elder and then move onto the gathering hall.

I'm in East Central Scotland – meets in the village hall in Letham (Fife, not Angus) on the first Saturday of the month. It's a nice, friendly group of people but also mainly spinners; of the weavers, I am possibly the most weaverly, which is a bit alarming!! There isn't much interest in weaving themed activities except for small portable things (e.g. inkle weaving).
