high school & college???
im an 8th grade student, and were just signing up for classes @ high school
And i am so lost and confused
ok, so i want to be a surgeon. cardiac. or plastic.. well, techinally my goal is to live in california, and have a great job, and love what i do, and get a georgeous golden retriever.. lol
I have good grades, like straight A's. and iv been reccomended ofr all honors classes. like, enriched frosh geometry, honors bio, honors Spanish, and hons english..
i also have extra curriculars like tennis, track, badminton, and soccer. Im in drama, choir& student council. and im going to start volunteer work very soon. I also play the piano. Iv also taken the SAT, and got offers 4 advanced kid summer courses at colleges.
So, i just wanted to know, if should take all honors classes, and what other stuff i shouild do in high school, to get into colleges like Harvard, Yale, Princeton and stuff.
Im ready to devote myself and all that stuff, i just have no clue, wat colleges are looking 4
They always say, "be a well rounded student". So do all your honors classes, keep up the sports, and join clubs (Best buddies, a book group, etc) and you should be good to go!!
Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great! =)

Nelson-Atkins Tour Part 1
Is it possible for me to be admitted to Harvard College?
Academic: Sydney NSW State top Boys Selective School. Ranking around 10-15/150 in most subjects, slightly higher in some and slightly lower in others. For Year Twelve planning to study: Maths Ext.2, Maths Ext.1, English Ext.1, English Ext.2, Chemistry and Economics.
(Does not studying history lower your chances???)
Languages: Fluent in Chinese writing, reading and speaking.
Beginner in Japanese.
Sport: Martial Arts, Badminton are the main ones.
I also play the piano with Credit at 8th grade. Planning to get 2 years of work experience by the time I apply.
Please rate my possibility of admission out of a scale of 10. (10 being almost certain, 0 being impossible)
Also welcome to add any suggestions on subjects or acticities to make it more likely for a position.
No, not studying history would not hurt you as an international student. However, Harvard is one of the most selective schools in the world, who turned down thousands of people with perfect records last year. Being ranked 10-15th/150 is just not likely to be good enough for them - if you aren't #1 or 2, they probably aren't going to be interested. Your SAT scores might make a difference, but given what you have told us, I would have to rate your possibility as a 2.
