Second time I've ever ridden bareback in my life, suggestions for next time?
Soo yesterday I was way too tired to ride Romeo because I had just played badminton for 4 straight hours at a tournament, so I decided I'd try to ride him bareback. He was really well behaved considering he was probably hyper. :]
Any tips/suggestions for next time?
He tends to hold his head too high all the time, he's a bit of a spazz. We're still working on that part.
As you have done badminton before hand, i would of thought you would be too worn out to be tense - you seem it on the horse, and his head is high because of this.
Let yourself relax a little more next time, but keep your upperbody straight, and try to get the horse a little more forward, as at this speed, he is more likely to stumble, in which you will not have a saddle or stirrups to keep you in place.
